The 20-minute scrimmages provide our coaches a good opportunity to try various ideas out. Our JV team played well in the morning, beating Harrison 2-0 and drawing with Castle 0-0. The Varsity squad took the field in the evening against the Memorial Tigers and the Reitz Panthers. The Varsity squad was the only team at the Evansville Varsity Jamboree to win both games, with a 1-0 victory in each game. Coach DeBaillie commented on the day: "20 minutes is only a fraction of a game, so we don't tend to put a lot of weight into these results. However all the boys played well and we were happy with the progress we have made thus far." |
